Pick a route. Follow the gold.

Choose one of the three supply chains below, then move through it step by step. Every step shows what was captured there, what is attached to the lot, the ledger seal, and which requirements that step proved. Two of the routes end with a lot that was stopped.

OECD DDG (gold)

Assess

OECD Due Diligence Guidance for Responsible Mineral Supply Chains, 3rd ed., with the Gold Supplement and Annex II

OECD · Voluntary; incorporated by the LBMA, UAE, Swiss, EU and ICGLR rules

OECD · 3rd edition (2016), Annex I five-step framework, Annex II model policy, Supplement on Gold

The framework the SEC (Rule 13p-1), the 2023 US Africa Gold Advisory, the UAE, Swiss, EU and LBMA rules all incorporate; the S.3496 strategy cites 'industry-standard responsible sourcing and due diligence standards'.

US interagency Africa Gold Advisory of 27 June 2023 (State, Treasury/OFAC, Commerce, DHS, Labor, USAID): risks, sanctions and due-diligence expectations for gold from or through sub-Saharan Africa

United States (advisory) · Advisory, not a rule: it sets the expectations US agencies apply when they look at an African gold chain

US Departments of State, Treasury (incl. OFAC), Commerce, Homeland Security, Labor; USAID · Interagency advisory of 27 June 2023: Part II Risks, Part III Sanctions, Part IV Due Diligence (A OECD framework, B AML / FinCEN, C Minamata, D industry frameworks)

State co-authored it. It names Uganda as a transit route for DRC gold and the UAE as the refining hub, and asks industry to 'adopt and apply strengthened due diligence practices'.

LBMA · RGG v9 (applicable from 1 January 2022; first audits assessed in 2023); Steps 1–5; Gold Bar Integrity (GBI) country-of-origin reporting

Good Delivery status is what US refiners and bullion banks look for on a bar; the Africa Gold Advisory lists it under industry frameworks.

6/8 requirements held org-wide Source

UAE MoE gold DD

Submit

UAE Ministry of Economy Due Diligence Regulations for Responsible Sourcing of Gold (2022) and UAE Good Delivery / EBC rules

What it takes

Four things, the same platform we run for coffee, cocoa and cotton

01

End-to-End Traceability

Every handoff is a critical tracking event, sealed on a public ledger. The serial on the bar resolves to the claim polygon it came from.

02

Ethica AI Agent

Ethica compiles the gold instruments your route touches into one data dictionary and checks every requirement on every lot: held, partial or missing, with the citation.

03

Verify Everything On-Site

The Origin app captures weight, XRF grade, GPS and a photo at the pit, offline. The unlicensed offer with a watch-list hit is refused before money moves.

04

Ethical Sourcing

Licensed claim, mercury-free declaration and royalty receipt travel with the lot, so the miner's record is the evidence.

FAQ

Questions people ask first

Is this real gold?

It is demo data: a demo trading organisation, demo counterparties and demo documents on our development platform. The regulations, citations and checks are real and link to the official texts.

Which regulations are checked?

OECD Due Diligence Guidance, the US Africa Gold Advisory, OFAC and FinCEN rules, the Minamata Convention, the Guyana Gold Board rules, LBMA Responsible Gold Guidance, UAE, Swiss, Ugandan and Colombian instruments, and Form SD / Section 1502. Each card shows the issuer and the article it rests on.

Does this certify the gold?

No. Bext360 shows which evidence is held, which is partial and which is missing, with the source. Certification remains with auditors and regulators.

Can a refiner or a government use this?

Yes. Refiners get intake assay, KYC and screening attached to the arriving lot. Governments get pit-to-port visibility with royalty receipts and export permits per consignment.

How is this different from a paper certificate?

A certificate describes a shipment once. Here the data is captured at each step by the people handling the metal, sealed when it is captured, and checked continuously.
