Rules keep changing.
Your coffee stays ready.

Two always-on agents. One watches every regulation, label and buyer standard, and rewrites your workflows the moment something changes. The other checks every lot at every step and catches what does not add up, before it ships.

Watching 23 coffee rules · loops every few seconds, all day, every day

  1. 1 Watch

Reads every regulation, label and buyer standard for changes, day and night.

  2. 2 Detect

Finds what changed, and which customers, lots and steps it touches.

  3. 3 Update

Rewrites every affected workflow, so the right data is asked for in the right place.

  4. 4 Verify

Collects only what is needed, and makes sure it all gets done.

Watch it happen

A rule changes. Nobody on your team lifts a finger.

Example: a Hamburg roaster’s buyer standard now says every lot must now show the premium paid to each farmer. Run it and watch the agent find the gap, add one step where the data is born, and collect only what is missing.

Only what is needed. Lots that already hold the payment record from tracking are never asked again.

Example: the rule change, lots and volumes on this page are scripted demo data. The rule counts come from the Ethica dictionary v2.5.0 (October 2026).

The proof agent

Every lot. Every step. Every time.

A second agent follows each lot from farm to roaster, checks it against every rule you have added and builds its proof. When something does not fit, it asks for the data at the source, or puts the lot in front of a person.

Missing data Volumes that don’t add up Expired certificates

Example lots on the two demo corridors. The proof agent applies the platform’s 3 % mass-balance tolerance at each handoff.

Why now

The rules got serious. The paperwork didn’t get smaller.

Never chase a rule change again

The agent reads the change, works out what it means for your lots, and updates the workflow before your next shipment.

Ask suppliers only for what is missing

One shared dictionary means one answer serves every rule. Farmers and cooperatives are never asked twice.

Catch the bad lot before it ships

Volumes, certificates and documents are checked at every handoff, so a problem lot is held, not discovered by an auditor.

EUDR: Regulation (EU) 2023/1115 as amended, Art. 25. Rule counts: Ethica dictionary v2.5.0, October 2026.

FAQ

Questions people ask first

Want to see the full coffee chain, plot to roast, with the rules it answers to?

Open the coffee showcase
What does the agent actually watch?

Every rule a customer has added: laws such as the EU Deforestation Regulation, labels such as Rainforest Alliance, Fairtrade and EU Organic, sustainability reports, and the buyer standards their own customers send. When the text changes, it reads the change.

Does it ask my suppliers for more data every time a rule changes?

Only where the data is missing. Ethica maps every requirement to one shared dictionary, so if a lot already holds the answer from tracking, nobody is asked again. For coffee, 284 questions come down to 68 data points, and 23 of those come from tracking.

Who decides when a lot is flagged?

The agent asks for missing data on its own. When something does not add up, such as volumes beyond tolerance, a person on your team decides: request more data, or flag the lot for rejection. Every decision is recorded on the lot.

Does this certify us?

It keeps you ready: the evidence each rule needs is held, current and linked to the lot it describes. Certification and legal sign-off stay with the certifier and the authority.

Add your rules. The agents do the rest.

A 30-minute walkthrough with your corridors, your certificates and the buyer standards in your inbox, watched by the agents from day one.
